TABON CAVE

The Tabon Caves, located in Quezon, Palawan, are a historically significant archaeological site often referred to as the "Cradle of Philippine Civilization." This cave network, comprising over 200 caves (with around 29 explored), is where the Tabon Man, the oldest known human remains in the Philippines, was discovered—dating back approximately 47,000 years.

These caves served as shelters for early humans and hold valuable artifacts such as stone tools, pottery, and burial jars, shedding light on prehistoric life. Situated within the Lipuun Point Reservation, a protected area featuring limestone cliffs and lush surroundings, the Tabon Caves offer visitors a chance to explore a key piece of the country's ancient heritage.
